Grid Management Features
Large numbers of questionnaire responses or repertory grid ratings can simultaneously
be manipulated and managed in Idiogrid. Data collected from different people or
from the same person over several testing occasions can be transformed, merged, edited, analyzed, and
compared. A complete listing of these capabilities follows:
-
Multiple grids can be loaded or entered into Idiogrid.
-
Grid values can be copied, pasted, deleted, and edited.
-
Constructs and Elements can be copied, pasted, deleted, and edited.
-
Open grids can be searched for constructs, elements, or data values.
-
Grids are saved and retrieved as ASCII files.
-
Grids can be any dimension (e.g., 8 x 12) and can be given specific names.
-
Large grids (e.g., 500 x 500 or larger) can easily be handled by Idiogrid.
-
Different types of grids are recognized (e.g., rating, ranking, and binary).
-
Grids can be exported as SAS IML, SAS text, or SPSS syntax files for further
analysis
-
Constructs can be entered in bipolar or unipolar fashion.
-
Grids can be transposed.
-
The constructs, elements, or entire grid can be standardized, normalized,
or centered. The grid can also be double-centered.
-
Large numbers of grids can be merged when the constructs or elements are
matched or when both the constructs and elements are matched. The grids
can also be transformed before they are merged.
-
Large numbers of grids can be concatenated when the constructs or elements are
matched.
-
A single value can be set as the system missing value for the grids. In
other words, Idiogrid can manage missing values.
-
Other types of data (e.g., questionnaire data) can be pasted into Idiogrid
and analyzed.
-
Missing data can be imputed in a number of different ways; for example, missing
values can be replaced with element or construct means or a value determined by
the user.
-
Construct or Element ratings can be averaged or summed into total scores.
Weighted total scores can also be computed, and standardized questionnaires can
be scored. The 'code' for creating such composites can be saved for future use
or shared with other users.
